Another month has gone by, and more big changes have occurred in the McKendall house. Sarah started pulling herself up to a standing position about two weeks ago, and she now takes any opportunity to stand up. She can pull herself up using the anything: like the couch or the coffee table, or an unsusspecting knee. She has even taken a few steps along the couch and coffee table to get closer to something she wants (like the TV remote). Abby has pulled herself up to standing only a handful of times so far; she seems a little afraid of falling once she gets up.
They have started playing more together, and they’re a lot of fun. They chase after each other when they’re crawling around, play peekaboo together, make each other laugh, and hold hands across their highchairs sometimes during meals.
Cindy has taken the girls swimming a couple of times this summer. Sarah enjoys it – she loves to kick and splash, and she tries to drink the water and grab it with her hand. Abby was a little more hesitant at first, but after a while she got used to it and was splashing around too.
I have some new pictures up. See Spring of 2006 and A Day at the Park.
They’ve changed sooo much!
