After several years of keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it didn’t happen, I’ve finally been told that my blood pressure is too high and something needs to be done about it. I’ve been prescribed some medication to bring it down. What other ways are there to bring it down? Well, most importantly, lose weight. My doctor wants me to get down to 210lbs. So, I need to lose about 30lbs. How is this going to happen? I need to start eating better and getting some exercise. Who am I fooling? I need a lot of exercise. This weekend I went for some walks with the girls. I guess that’s a start.
I’m only taking a small dose for now and will return to the doctor’s office in a couple weeks to gauge my progress. I’m putting all of this “out there” to in an effort to hold myself accountable for all of this. I’ll post an update in a few weeks. Wish me luck.
